Duty rostering

Create shifts, assign staff, commit calendar weeks and keep an eye on working time rules

You staff the events of your organisation or your craft. The duty roster is your main view; events come from the calendar, people and their contracts from user management.

The first tasks

Set up the workforce panel. Craft filter on your crafts, Group by function on, and if needed Show freelancer. The workforce panel

Create a shift – craft, time, break, demand per function – on the event or freely in the room cell. Creating shifts

Assign staff by drag & drop and read the conflict check: availability, double booking, rule violations. Assigning staff

Work through the remaining demand with Only show shifts that are not fully staffed and the staffing indicator per craft.

Commit the week – or, with the workflow active, submit it for approval. Changes are traceable afterwards. Committing & approval

Distribute the plan: PDF notice (rooms by day or staff overview) and the staff's calendar subscription. Exports

Settings that help you

Typical pitfalls

  • A person is missing from the workforce panel: their work profile needs May be assigned to shifts and the assignment to your craft.
  • You may not edit a shift: you are not entered as planner of this craft – Crafts.
  • Target and actual hours do not match: the person has no work time pattern or contract – Contract & working hours.
