Changelog
Update September 2026
Published in September 2026 as version 1.7.6.
Calendar
- New PDF export "Season schedule overview projects": a year/season overview in wall-calendar style (months as columns, days as rows, project names per day) — with an event type filter, holidays, calendar week display, room abbreviations and selectable paper size (A3/A4).
- Calendar exports now respect the display settings: the export window has a new "Display settings" panel (colour source, event content, artist names instead of titles, visibility) — pre-filled with your active calendar settings and adjustable per export. In addition, all export tabs take the visible calendar period as their default, and the export window closes after the export.
- New calendar filter "Project status": shows only appointments of projects with the selected statuses (applies to the calendar, planning calendar, day views and the schedule in the project; also in saved filter templates).
- New display setting "Event status written out": shows the event status as its own line with a colour dot in the event tile.
- Truncated event descriptions in the tiles now show a tooltip with the full text on hover.
- Weekends within holiday periods are now recognisable through a darker shade of the holiday colour (calendar and shift plan).
- The "+" button for creating appointments in a cell is bigger and easier to spot; the PDF monthly overview is now the first export tab.
- The "Remove project assignments?" dialog when saving an appointment now only appears when the period actually changes.
Projects
- New project rights model — editing requires write permission in the project: users who can only read a project can no longer edit its tab components. Editing is now allowed for: team members with the "write permission" or "project management" checkbox, the creator of the project, assigned departments, and users with the global "write permission for all projects" right. Component permissions can only restrict these rights further, never extend them. The "Be project management" permission now only means that the person can be marked as project management in the project team — it no longer opens other people's projects. New explanation boxes in the user permissions, the permission preset modal and the invitation modal, plus clearer texts in the component modal, explain how everything interacts right where you need it. ⚠️ Note for admins: existing team members automatically get the write permission checkbox set with the update — the previous behaviour is preserved; remove the checkbox specifically where read-only access is desired. New team members start with write permission. Users who previously only had access to other projects via "Be project management" now need a team membership or the read/write permission for all projects.
- Unified page layout: all project tabs now follow a left-anchored width system — tools (calendar, shifts, budget, schedule) always run full width, tables and lists in a unified column, text and form components at reading width. The project header has been tidied up ("last changed" moves to the right next to the actions, the room list is capped at 3 + "+n") and collapses automatically when scrolling.
- Placeholders are now real placeholders: for text field, link and text area components, the configured placeholder appears inside the empty field instead of as a caption above it. ⚠️ Note for admins: components that previously only appeared "labelled" through the placeholder may now need a real caption in the component settings.
- Print layout: placed components can be reordered via drag & drop (move and swap, also across sections). The component search now also finds special components by their German name.
- Project overview: uses the full screen width; rows no longer repeat the column headers; when sorting by project period, projects without appointments always come last; the period column now shows dates without times; with an active search, pinned projects appear as normal results instead of a separate block; rows without project access are no longer clickable.
- Schedule (appointment list): columns now fill the full screen width (configured width = minimum width), the column header row stays visible in both scroll directions, and the markers for recently edited/created appointments are subtler (tint instead of dashed borders).
- Project properties (categories/genres/sectors) are now shown directly as a collapsible checkbox grid in the create and basic data modal instead of nested dropdowns; the "main" marker sits directly on the row.
- The "project status" required field now also applies when editing the basic data — and the status remains changeable despite being required (only removing it is blocked).
- In the component modal of the settings, an info icon next to each field explains what it does (type-dependent texts).
- "Mail to project team" now also works with Outlook (semicolon instead of comma separation).
- The "Recently opened" dropdown of the project search shows up to 10 instead of 5 productions.
- Editing project components and further project endpoints is now additionally checked server-side — the rules match exactly what the interface offers.
Material issues
- PDF preview before final creation: when printing a material issue/loan slip you first see a preview and then decide whether the document is created and attached. A new printer icon in the edit modal creates the PDF directly from the modal.
- File attachments with preview: images and PDFs in the material issue modals show thumbnails and open a viewer on click (with page navigation for PDFs).
- No more silent data loss: clicking next to the modal or pressing Escape asks about unsaved changes — with the additional option "Save". Unchanged modals close directly without a prompt.
- The period follows the project change: when changing the project assignment, automatically adopted values (name, period, project rooms) are pre-filled again — manually changed values remain.
- The "Recently opened projects" tiles from the appointment modal are now also available when creating/editing a material issue.
- From the article usage view you can now assign an article directly to a new material issue (the button opens the modal with the article and period pre-filled).
- Material sets have moved from their own menu item into the inventory settings (tab "Material sets"). Plus many fixes: the article search in the set modal now actually filters, the set selection in the material issue book was always empty (fixed), when applying a set with articles already present a modal asks whether quantities should be added up, deleted articles are cleaned out of sets, and the set selection button now shows a fitting package icon.
- The toggle in the "New material issue" modal is now called "Internal material issue" ↔ "External material issue" (instead of "Loan slip"), and when editing external issues the modal title correctly says "Edit material issue".
Inventory
- For single-inventory articles, the total quantity is now calculated automatically from the sum of the individual stocks and can no longer be changed manually.
- The status quantity list in the article modal highlights "Ready for use"; the status order follows the configured sorting everywhere.
- Article images can be uploaded via drag & drop.
- The tables of the inventory settings stay within their frame and grow with the screen width.
Duty roster and deployment plan
- Deadline reminder for duty roster requests: a deadline (days before the start of the calendar week) can be configured per craft — when it is reached without a request having been made, the craft leads automatically receive a notification.
- The approval view of duty roster requests now shows the same shift warnings (rule violations) as the shift plan; in addition, both approval overviews have a shortcut "To the shift plan (current week)".
- Project assignments: your own assignments and wishes are now visible in the project's shifts tab even without duty roster permission (only your own). The "Assigned people" overview bundles single days per person into ranges with expandable day chips. When assigning onto free/absence days the system warns you, multi-day selection runs through an inline calendar, and a sporadic error when assigning (server error despite successful saving) has been fixed.
- Drag & drop assignment onto shifts works again at small zoom levels (compact pills are fully-fledged drop targets).
- The filter "Only shifts not fully staffed" can now also be found in the calendar filter window (new section "Shift filters").
- Declining working time change requests works again; the modal is now fully translated.
- Deployment plan visibility rights: other people's deployment plans are now also protected server-side and follow a unified rule (planning/management rights); the permission "View own roster" now also controls access to your own deployment plan, not just the menu item. ⚠️ Note for admins: users without the "View own roster" permission can no longer open their own deployment plan — check your permission assignments if needed.
- In the deployment plan subscription, day services and all-day info entries no longer block the day as "busy" (also in Outlook).
- Dashboard: day services appear as their own bars; the shift cards now show colleagues, craft and acceptance/decline; the individual shift note can be edited directly; the project link jumps to the day of the shift in the shifts tab and now also works for team members without additional rights.
Funding sources and to-dos
- Funding source groups can now have an icon (like project groups) — visible in the overview, the detail page and on sub-group sources.
- In the create modal, an info block explains what groups are for.
- Funding tasks on "My to-do lists" are now a subtle sub-category that is collapsed by default.
Files and uploads
- The maximum file size per area can now be set up to 1024 MB (previously 150 MB).
- The server limit is shown transparently: the file settings page displays the current server limit and warns when a slider is set above it.
- Files that are too large now produce an understandable error message including the server limit (previously sometimes just "Upload failed" or a server error).
Miscellaneous
- Login: the tab order is fixed (e-mail → password → …) and the e-mail field is focused on load.
- Expanding/collapsing the page sidebar no longer triggers a loading bar/page refresh.
- Many table and board pages (to-do lists, material issue book, contracts, funding sources, BI dashboard, trash and others) now use the full screen width.
- Duplicate field captions above input fields have been cleaned up app-wide.
- The "Recently opened projects" tile list is more compact everywhere and adapts its column count to the modal width.
- The icon search (e.g. for project groups) now also works with spaces ("arrow left") and opens reliably.
- Webhooks/API: webhook delivery is fixed, "Resend" is safeguarded, the "Manage webhooks" permission can be used on its own, and the webhook interface is fully translated.
- Fixed a bug that caused settings to be duplicated internally on every save.
- Various further server-side authorisation checks have been added and fixes from the code review have been implemented.
